AAEON has introduced the UP Xtreme ARL developer board, powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors with Intel Arc graphics. Designed for developers building advanced AI, edge computing, and high-performance applications, the compact board offers desktop-class performance in a 120.35 x 122.5 mm form factor.

The UP Xtreme ARL supports up to 64GB LPDDR5 6400 dual-channel memory and multiple storage options, including dual M.2 2280 M-Key (PCIe Gen 4) slots and a SATA 6Gb/s port. It has M.2 3052 B-Key (5G support) and M.2 2230 E-Key (Wi-Fi/BT) slots for further expansion. For connectivity, the board integrates 2.5GbE and 1GbE ports, alongside USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, USB 2.0, and multiple display interfaces including HDMI 2.1 (x2) and DP 2.1 for up to four simultaneous displays. Developers can also access 40-pin GPIO, RS-232/422/485 headers, and onboard TPM 2.0 security.

The board supports Windows 10/11 LTSC, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and Yocto 5+, making it suitable for both commercial and industrial projects. Power input ranges from 9V to 36V DC, with typical consumption between 57.6W and 86.4W.

AAEON’s UP Xtreme ARL is available in several configurations with Intel Core Ultra 5 225H and Ultra 7 255H/265H processors, paired with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of onboard LPDDR5 memory. Each model ships with an active cooler, while optional accessories include power adapters, regional power cords, and a Wi-Fi/BT module. Pricing has not been disclosed yet, but the board is expected to target developers working on AI, robotics, and industrial edge applications.
