Raspberry PI CM5 carrier board with dual(1G + 2.5G) LAN and 7V–36V Input

Waveshare has recently launched the CM5-DUAL-ETH-BASE, a carrier board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 with dual LAN and a wide 7V–36V DC input range.

Other features of the board include dual 4K HDMI outputs, dual MIPI CSI/DSI interfaces, an M.2 M-Key slot for NVMe SSDs or AI accelerators, USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 ports, a 40-pin GPIO header, onboard EEPROM and encryption chip, RTC battery header, and a PWM fan connector, and much, much more. These features make it suitable for applications like industrial automation, networking appliances, edge AI, and multimedia gateways.

The company does not mention anything about software support, but it runs Raspbian OS and should support all the peripherals despite the lack of specialized kernels. Waveshare generally provides example code and other useful information for their development boards and modules, but at the time of writing, the Waveshare wiki is empty.

The CM5-DUAL-ETH-BASE Raspberry Pi CM5 dual LAN carrier board is currently listed for $86.39 on AliExpress with a 10% discount applied. On Amazon, it’s available for $72.99, while the Waveshare store has it priced at $54.99 per unit (excluding shipping).
